Most definitely Frontier airlines is the absolute best way to fly. Great savings and good customer service.

Lousy service

I booked a flight from Ontario California to Las Vegas. The flight was to leave shortly after 2 PM on the 12th UnLonely I believe the flight was already full so the computer booked me on a different flight without any red light flags of warning it booked me on a different flight. The flight that the system booked me on was to leave shortly after 10 PM. I could not afford to depart from Ontario that late so I tried to book another flight from another airport and I was not allowed to get any credit back from the previous ticket. I feel like that’s wrong because when it decides or it notices that the flight has been fully booked. There was no flags no red lights no warnings nothing saying hey this flight is unavailable. It just booked you another flight and I feel like that’s by design. When I reached out to frontier for assistance, I got absolutely zero empathy or help. I’m sure this is all by design and they do this all day. So I have to forfeit my initial payment and drive 60 miles to LAX with an additional ticket purchase.

Easy to book and manage travel.

Live helpful customer service with short wait makes the booking with an ease. Comperable cheap options makes it extra good.

Hidden fees

Be careful when booking. Never had this happen before but when selecting options I did not select priority boarding yet it was added on my trip with an additional $10/per person charge. When selecting seats it said $0 fee on the seats I was selecting which was true for the first selected then went to $44 charge for the next passenger. Had I not been paying attention and just selected and continued would not have caught that. Be sure to hit details on the charges before finishing check out process.

Worst Airline Ever

This is the singularly most ridiculous airline I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. I will never fly with them again.

Tell me what I’m buying

When the price appears in the search it’s low. What do I get? Seems not even a seat. I have to measure my “personal item?” A soft briefcase seems too big. Then the add ons. What am I adding on to? Not cheaper than a real airline once you get the very basics.

Slow and hard to use

It’s my first time with Frontier and I am very disappointed with their website and mobile App. I wasn’t able to book my flight until the third time. First try was through their website which crashed after submitting for payment, second time was the same. I tried reaching out to their customer service and no one answered me at all in chat mode and voice mode. Fingers crossed that their planes are not like their online service.

App is ok but…

$300 for a 47lbs bag is ridiculous! $70 for 40lbs and $75 more for the extra 7 lbs. ONE WAY!!! If you want to bring it back then you can double that. I’ve got $600 into a red eye flight. I won’t do it again!

App makes you hold to prove you’re not a bot with every action you do. Makes the app impossible to actually use

My flight was at 8:00am, I started my check in at 6:50am and the receptionist said that check in was already closed and that I should buy another ticket for 7:00pm.

Horrible

Will never be flying frontier again. If your ever in a rush don’t fly with frontier both flights got pushed back over two hours past midnight unexceptable. Worst seats and worst plane rides ever do not recommend

Not reliable

I wasted 3 hours of my Saturday to check in for the Sunday flight. Even called customer service (another half an hour was wasted to get to the agent). Horrible!!

App needs work

You cannot use the app if you want to book a flight with your go wild membership. There is also not an option to continue without a bundle. There is also not an option to enter a voucher in the payment details when in the app. I know a great UI/UX designer. Seems like you could use the help.

Deceptive Pricing for Seat Upgrades

I just made a reservation for a trip. I decided to treat myself and pick a wide seat with extra legroom and no middle seat. The price listed was $29. However when I was ready to check out I noticed the seat price had increased to $62. Fortunately I saw this and went back and changed my seat selection. Please check the amount due before confirming your reservation

Unable to connect with customer service

I accidentally cancelled a flight but wanted to actually get a flight credit to rebook different times. I realize this was my error but could not get a rep on the phone for help with this. Hoping they call me back to correct this.

Worst airline ever. Used app to purchase a checked bag and accidentally purchased a carry on. Did this right in front of attendant. Was told no refund no credit towards my checked bag. The hidden fees were so much I could of flown first class on American.

The best budget airline out there

I have a new startup in PR and been flying back and forth between Las Vegas and PR twice a month for the past two years I like the app is easy to use and price is always affordable for me to fly more! Less delay than when I fly other companies as well

Bad service

I had a flight with them at 7 am from Cincinnati to Dallas I arrived at the waiting room at 5:30 am and at 6:00 am they told me that it was canceled due to aircraft maintenance and after 11 hours they reassigned me a flight with 4 hours of waiting with a stopover in Denver and 40 minutes before the flight they canceled it again I have been at the airport all day without being able to rest, when I should be with my family in Dallas besides I missed a very important work and business meeting. Now I’m waiting for my refound or a hotel because they rescheduled for tomorrow 6am Really really bad service Don’t flight with

Terrible App, Terrible Company

Their app is annoying and confusing. I had a flight where I accidentally checked a box to pay for a 50lb bag limit instead of 40lbs. Every other airline allows you 50lbs, yet Frontier charges a fortune for their bags and makes you pay a fortune more for a weight upgrade that is given to you from any other airline. My bags were not overweight. After realizing this, they refused to refund their ridiculous fee for 50lb “upgrade”. What a joke of a company, don’t fly with them, you will regret it!

FF miles don’t work

I spent 40 minutes trying to book a flight using my FF miles. I got errors 7 different times on 3 different computers. I had to give up and buy my ticket. Not happy Frontier!

Terrible app

App rarely works. I don’t like flying with them in the first place, but when I do, it’s made worse by the fact that the app barely functions.

Do not sign up for credit card

I got the credit card so I could get bonus miles after spending $3,000, but they never let me activate and link an airline account to the credit card. There was an account sign up error, and I messaged, emailed, and called several times, and each time they said to check again in a few hours. When they did finally acknowledged the trouble they were putting me through and verified that there was a sign up error on their end, they said they would reach out when it was fixed. But they never reached out, and I had to call again, and again they said they would reach out. TLDR: credit card bonus miles are a scam to get you to use the credit card without any real benefits

Tired of being threatened by airlines about getting the best rate. Everything cost and staff refuse to help. Assign my seat and stop threatening me with additional punitive fees for baggage sizes and carryon. Pass a hat around for fuel costs already. You’re embarrassing yourselves. Costumers are already talking about the small seats and crushing fees. We want a safe flight without the con job. Thank you for listening.

I hate Frontier airlines more than anything on this earth.

Frontier airlines is, in a two words, quite awful. The plane we rode on was horribly small, smaller than I was told when I booked the flight. The flight attendent was just a box of joys. I asked for apple juice, she said I looked too old and ended up giving me sprite. Also, our flight got cancelled twice and we were promised free vouchers for food, we wernt ever given them. Horrible airline and horrible expirence. I hate frontier and will be telling everyone i know to not fly there. -Update- our other flight has been delayed 5 hours and we have revived still no compensation of any kind. -Update- it’s 11pm, we have been here since 6Am. flight cancelled and we are not going back home. they do not have enough staff and couldn’t get the plane to take off, or something. lack of information. frontier is horrible DO NOT FLY IF YOU WANT TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION. I am beyond angry. I genuinely cannot express in words how much I dispise frontier airlines at ohare airport.

The customer service

I book a plan ticket and I paid for assistance, but at the airport, the agents refused to help until I had them call the manager. I do not recommend this customer service with this airline…..I am in process to have them refund my assistance money that I paid. If you are not App user please do not book your trip with them. I wish I read all the other reviews before booking, I will not book with them if I had read the reviews. But I learned my lessons and will not go back to them. Please read the reviews, sometimes they help.

Years after introducing Go-wild-still not compatible

Go wild pass does not work with the mobile app. When you try and book with the website, all searches default and open in the mobile app- making the go wild pass completely unusable unless you have a separate device.

App useless - customer service worse

Complete incompetence. The app will not let me check-in. Error code every time (5000). Called airline. Told me they can’t help me. Advice was to get there earlier so I could check in. Last time on frontier.

If you want canceled and delayed flights fly with frontier

I flat very frequently. This is literally the worst airline. Your guarantee to get a flight canceled or delayed. I booked with them knowing this and guess what. The lady t the desk cancel my flight because I wasn't there 2 hour hourly. I have no bag to check in or anything just myself.

Thieves

Save your sanity and never interact with this dastardly organization. Nothing works as it should, and then they exploit you for their errors. There is zero chance this app has above a 2 star rating without their faking reviews.

Not what I paid for.

I feel fly wild pass is a scam the app pushes bundles for carton baggage that are legally free if it fits in the bin yet the app makes you thing it’s a better deal if you bundle it. They play on your fears in order to extract more money out of you. Highly disappointed I think I’d rather fly spirit at this point. Not to mention they have staff that’s traumatized and don’t deserve to be employed. I will be requesting a refund for my den pass and my fly wild pass. DO NOT BUY THEY WILL NICKLE AND DIME YOU.

Flight status incorrect

Aside from the fact that Frontier pushes customers to download their app in order to check in, the flight status for my delayed flight is consistently different from what the gate says by over an hour!!!

This app is horrible

I can’t even check in for my flight because of some glitch, and when I tried to check in on their website I had to delete the app because it kept redirecting me to the app. Fix this, there is no excuse for a dysfunctional airline app and website in 2025

I love frontier for the cheap flights but their app is unusable half the time and it’s very inconvenient. It currently won’t log me in. Why was I even logged out in the first place?

Good luck getting app to work

Not a user friendly app! Trying to check in kept getting us an error message. Fortunately the desk was not busy and the desk attendant asked if we were having trouble and checked us in at the counter for free. We also could not print our luggage tags from the kiosk and she helped with that. On our return flight, same problem. An attendant was walking around the self check and self tag area. He asked if we had an iPhone. When we said yes, he told us the app didn’t work with an iPhone!!!! Again the counter attendants helped us. We were not charged thankfully. Very frustrating. Not sure we will fly frontier again

Was able to get a connecting flight to St. Maarten at a good price last minute compared to other airlines

Horrible website

The Frontier App won’t let me get past the Bundle and Save page. Safari and Chrome take me to the App. In order to complete the booking, I had to select a Bundle, which then cost me $19 each way. I don’t need a bundle because I am Gold Elite, and I paid for Discount Den. Discount Den membership is a waste of money!!
